![]() I started my law enforcement career in New Haven Connecticut six years ago with the New Haven County Sheriff's Dept. My duties there were mostly working inside the court rooms and in the jails. About a year later I was hired with the North Haven Police Dept. The time spent in North Haven I was on patrol and was assigned to the Honor Guard. After 3 years, I moved to California with my wife and a year later I was hired by Stanislaus Sheriffs Office. I have been working for the Sheriffs office for 3 years. I’ve been a K9 handler for the past 6 months. My K9 partner is a 5 year old Groenendael ( Belgian Shepherd) named "FONS". Fons and I have had over 47 + uses in the past 3 months. Two of those were finds and several were surrenders. We have also done many K9 demos and had tons of children petting Fons. He was selected by a trainer as a puppy and trained his whole life for the KNPV trial. Fons is 68-pounds and loves to be a police dog. He lives with my family and I. Fons loves to play, and if there is water nearby, he enjoys swimming. When he is on the street Fons is all business and loves to find bad guys. Back at home he is just happy being part if the family ....WOOF WOOF.
